Out in the middle of the desert (Yucaipa area), there’s this nice little oasis called Serendipity. It’s one of those places that my GPS doesn’t register and has no major roads leading to it. But just like any other oasis, it was a very beautiful place.

While we’re on the subject of beautiful, I present to you an amazing couple and their wedding: Judy and Chris. Chris cried several times during his vows, which is one of my favorite parts of a wedding (the other being toasts.) Because he cried, my eyes got a little bit sweaty.

Judy is like whoa. Incredibly pretty and beautiful. Fun-loving and awesome. She was the first bride that I asked to do some bed jumping shots, and she did it really well and looked good at the same time. Only a few can do that. I also had her to do a few poses that also pulled off quite well. Some of her bridesmaids should work at the laugh factory, because they’re non-stop comedy.

Together, they make a great couple. Their first look was a joy to watch and photograph as Chris was smiley and antsy the entire time.

I also got to work with my wonderful friend Jessica Limantaro who was the amazing wedding coordinator and my friend Daniel Chin as my second photographer.

First, I’d like  to apologize for my lack of blogging in the last couple of weeks. It’s been as crazy as crazy can get over holidays, I’ve been doing anything and everything from last minute orders, hanging out with family, and friends, and last but not least shopping!

Speaking of a shopping. I am a shopaholic, shopping for other people is just an excuse for me to go out and shop. And when that happens I usually end up buying stuff for myself. It’s terrible, I know. But don’t pretend like you don’t do it. On a side note, I haven’t had to do any math since college, and my math skills are deteriorating every day. I used to be quick and sharp with math, but now I’m just slow and confused. Until today, I got my groove back while Day after Christmas shopping. Suddenly, I’m able to calculate final costs after 40,50, 60 etc. percent discounts and adding taxes quickly and accurately (to the dollar).

This last photo is of me. For some reason I didn’t think it was going to be really cold.  So I went pretty underprepared. The coldness kicked my ass pretty good.  What you see is here me wearing two backpacks (front and back) for insulation because that jacket I’m wearing is pretty much all I got.  The beanie and front backpack was borrowed from Rosalva, my girlfriend.

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to shoot at UCLA, which was cool. But not all that exciting because I’ve been to UCLA many times. I have not however, been to USC! So I was really excited to be able to shoot Desiree and Claudell at USC.  Lucky for me Desiree used to be some sort of tour guide so as we were walking around I got to learn a thing or two about the campus.  The vibe is very different from UCLA, I’d describe USC as a little more serious than UCLA. Hm, yeah that’s it. I read that USC beat UCLA in its recent football game. Congrats to USC! But Claudell tells me USC lost to Arizona. So sorry about that USC.
