When I first arrived at the hotel to photograph Jasmine, she and her bridesmaids had cleared out the entire half of a suite just to practice their choreographed reception dance. That was when I thought to myself “This is going to be a fun wedding,” and honestly wanted to jump in and join them.

Check this out, I found out that their wedding was “island-themed,” and they were having a cookie buffet at the reception.  I actually tried to help them out buy buying a couple of boxes of cookies in Hawaii when I was there in July, not really remembering that their wedding would in September. So I’m not sure if they used the cookies at their reception, and even if they didn’t, I hope they enjoyed them

So if you’re looking to have a really good and fun reception let me break it down for you:  you’ll need a good band, a good DJ, alcohol helps, of course, and above all else, really fun friends, and a bunch of them. Oh, a good photographer helps as well teehee.

Jasmine and Jason’s wedding had all of the above, and the guests of this wedding didn’t waste any time sitting dodwn when it came time to dance.

At this reception both the guys and girls prepared a little dance performance, and the guys went first. They did their thing, and it was fun. But then the ladies came on stage with all of their backs turned. You always know you’re going to get a good show when everyone has their backs turned. And I’m sorry to say this Jason, but the first few seconds of the girls’ performance blew away your guys’ performance I couldn’t help but smile the whole time thinking how cool it was watching these choreographed dances in front of me. I almost felt like I was watching America’s Best Dance Crew.

Hi readership, intern Emilie here. Just helping out with the blog.

Firstly, thanks Erich, for picking me as your new intern! : )

Secondly, he asked me to blog a little about myself.  Well, I am sort of an art-loving, music-craving, Yoga-doing, vegetarian environmentalist wanna-be.  When I’m at UCI, I host a weekly radio show on which I spin obscure goth rock and punk tracks.  Maybe I sound like an artsy-fartsy cliché, but everything I do and believe, I am really passionate about!

I most enjoy wildlife and animal photography, but occasionally I will take pictures of people.

So to wrap up, I’ll be helping Erich out around and behind the scenes. He’s already taught me a lot of what I know about cameras and Photoshop, so I’m excited for more insight from a new perspective.

And even though this is a blog and not radio, I’m gonna say: stay tuned for more exciting news from Erich!

Okay, okay, okay! I’m very excited to present to you the engagement photos of Alli and Alex. Alli and I go wayyyyy back. I’d say we were both the few crazy, energetic, funny, outgoing types at the church that we both used to attend. It was truly good seeing her again, and it’s good to know that she’s still the same. This is only my second time meeting Alex, but I like him! He’s a lot more silly than I originally thought, and I told him that. This engagement shoot was a whole lot of fun, and I’m sure you’ll be able to see that from these photos. I was really trying to push for fun, interesting, and out there. We had a lot of laughs just like old times. I loved it.

So Alex teaches chemistry…AND they have chemistry! OHhhhhhh. Haha.
