Meet Chona and Michael.

Let me tell you what I love about this couple. The first time I went to meet them, Chona was playing Farmville, Michael took out his photography equipment, and they both showed me their exotic pet birds. All that in itself was a pretty amazing experience. Although I don’t play Farmville, I am on Facebook a lot, and I love photography and animals. What I love about Chona is her energy. She’s bubbly and likes to laugh a lot. I think there should be more people in the world like that. I love Michael’s passion for photography. His understanding of underwater photography (I’ll admit) goes over my head sometimes because I don’t know the first thing about underwater photography, but Michael’s very very interesting to listen to.

I look forward to photographing their wedding in San Francisco this week! I am mucho excited. Starting Monday to Friday I will be in northen California photographing an engagement session, their wedding, and meeting with another couple. This upcoming weekend I get to photograph another wedding with my good friend Nathan Nowack.

Okay, okay, okay! I’m very excited to present to you the engagement photos of Alli and Alex. Alli and I go wayyyyy back. I’d say we were both the few crazy, energetic, funny, outgoing types at the church that we both used to attend. It was truly good seeing her again, and it’s good to know that she’s still the same. This is only my second time meeting Alex, but I like him! He’s a lot more silly than I originally thought, and I told him that. This engagement shoot was a whole lot of fun, and I’m sure you’ll be able to see that from these photos. I was really trying to push for fun, interesting, and out there. We had a lot of laughs just like old times. I loved it.

So Alex teaches chemistry…AND they have chemistry! OHhhhhhh. Haha.

This is another engagement that I photographed in NYC. This lovely young couple is Serena and Mark and arguably one of the most fashionable  couples I have photographed in my career. I have to give it up to Mark for his strikingly sharp jacket, I love it.  Mark and I had a considerably long conversation about fashion which is not something I’m used to having with guys. But it was actually really fun and interesting. But before that conversation we had a very exciting conversation about camera gear and camera backpacks. He showed me his Canon 7D with this cool eye attachment that he uses to shoot video. Mark shoots for MTV, by the way, which is pretty incredible. Then I busted out my favorite camera backpack of all time, the Lowepro Flipside 300, to show him, and he was impressed, I think.

After the shoot we all went to Central Park to go ice-skating. It was a lot of fun despite having to pay a whole lot of money for for rentals and lockers. . There are photos from their shoot. At the request of Serena, this was shot in a fashionable way.

The shot below is kinda cliche with a blurry moving train in the back, but I’ve always wanted to do it.  So yay!

I love this couple. I love!  I don’t even know where to begin with all my excitement.  Allison and Hok are authentic New Yorkers, and they’re some of the nicest people I’ve met. They are awesome. In fact, they are more awesome than awesome itself.

Let me tell you a little about the couple. Allison’s a Brooklyn girl, and she loves food, traveling, and everything wedding. Everything. That’s how she found me actually, she found me through my blog. The more I got to know her the more I realized she’s a lot like me. Both of us can’t seem to lie, and we both wear our feelings on our sleeves, meaning if we’re unhappy we’ll show it unintentionally, and there’s nothing we can do about it. She’s also very sociable, very cool, and very hip.

Hok likes seafood And I like seafood. Anyone who likes seafood is cool, period. And I think he said he’s going to have seafood at their wedding. I look forward to eating it, and I think Hok’s gonna make sure it’s gonna be some damn good seafood.
