So prior to their engagement session I was shooting everyday all day for about two weeks, and as a result I got sick. So during this session I was all congested, messed up, and ugly. It was my first time being sick during a shoot out of all the years I’ve been shooting, bleh.

Fortunately for me I got to photograph this easy going, Lakers-loving, food-loving, basketball-loving couple!  I might’ve been all disoriented and unenthusiastic on the outside, but inside I was like “Yes!!!!!!” Eri and Jun are pretty awesome people! PLUS they went to my high school, albeit they were a few years ahead of me, and I didn’t know them, but it’s always fun knowing that people came from where I came from.  And even though we got kicked out a couple of times from places we shot during this session, the funny power from Eri, June, Evelyn (our make up artist), and Paul (our bouncer) made it all good! Thank you guys for being so fun

Rain’s good only for a couple of things” free watering of your plants and a free car wash. Not bad, but that’s pretty much all I can think about it. Oh, but also maybe for some freakin’ awesome-super-duper images with Jamila and Andrew!

Meet Jamila and Andrew! They were awesome enough to decide that they wanted to take their engagement photos in the rain. If that’s not awesome enough in itself, Andrew actually proposed to Jamila in the rain in the exact same spot in the first photo. Pretty awesome yeah? They’re also high school sweethearts, and that’s special.

Jamila and Andrew found me on Craigslist… in the personals section… I’m just kidding. This one goes out to David. Thank you David for bringing me this superbly awesome couple!

This made shooting in the rain all worth it!

Meet Cynthia and Reggie. I would tell you how fun this engagement session was, but their faces tell it all.

This engagement session took place in the beautiful city of San Francisco. Although I love southern California, there’s something about San Francisco that I truly love. I think it’s the people, the food, and the (cool) weather.

This San Francisco engagement session ended up at Hooters, where we chowed down on delicious wings and watched The NBA Finals Game 6. Lakers won of course.  In the middle of our dinner a fight almost broke out inside the restaurant, and I think it carried out outside eventually. That situation was a very difficult for me to be in because my limited A.D.D. brain didn’t what to focus on: the food, the finals, or the fight. They were all so exciting. But eventually we devoured the food, the game finished, and the fight dispersed, and the food coma was setting in. So we all took a walk down Pier 39 to burn off some of those calories and walk off the coma. Kinda romantic. Haha. I love it. Thank you Reggie, Cynthia, and Jason for making this such an awesome engagement session.

Meet Chona and Michael.

Let me tell you what I love about this couple. The first time I went to meet them, Chona was playing Farmville, Michael took out his photography equipment, and they both showed me their exotic pet birds. All that in itself was a pretty amazing experience. Although I don’t play Farmville, I am on Facebook a lot, and I love photography and animals. What I love about Chona is her energy. She’s bubbly and likes to laugh a lot. I think there should be more people in the world like that. I love Michael’s passion for photography. His understanding of underwater photography (I’ll admit) goes over my head sometimes because I don’t know the first thing about underwater photography, but Michael’s very very interesting to listen to.

I look forward to photographing their wedding in San Francisco this week! I am mucho excited. Starting Monday to Friday I will be in northen California photographing an engagement session, their wedding, and meeting with another couple. This upcoming weekend I get to photograph another wedding with my good friend Nathan Nowack.
