I’m finally back from what seemed like a non-stop, action-packed trip all over the place! It’s been SO fun, but it’s also been really tiring! Congratulations to all the couples I’ve photographed over the last four weeks ranging all the way from Hawaii to Cancun! I just arrived back to LA at 6AM this morning from Maui and I’ve got A LOT to do and I’m jumping off today with Kristen and Geoff’s Wedding!
If my memory is correct I think this is the first wedding that I’ve shot where the bride is a professional photographer, and there’s always a little pressure but I try to think of it as more of a challenge than anything. I had a couple of new “firsts” in this wedding which I’d like to share with you. it’s the first time I’ve ever photographed a bride photographing others during her wedding. Kristen carried an old Nikon film camera which only had about 36 shots in it which she spread out evenly though her wedding day. Kristen’s always been a wonderful documentary/photojournalistic photographer and she wanted to capture a wedding day through the eyes of a bride! Isn’t that kind of cool!? The first thing she did before she walked down the aisle with her father is take a photo of everyone looking at her in the aisle. So cooool! I think I might do that on my own wedding day. The second “first” was seeing a groom wearing a banana suit on the dance floor and going “banana’s!” Har har har! Humor me!
I also feel the need to comment on how absolutely beautiful Chicago is, I’m soooo speechless as to how amazing their scenery is, it really took my breath away!
Congratulations To Kristen and Geoff in this beautiful Geneva/Chicago Wedding
