What I loved about this wedding
1) It was a travel themed wedding which included ‘passports’, a luggage looking cake, and world maps.

2) There was lobster for dinner.

3) There was a cute fun choreographed danced performed by really talented young dancers.

4) Dance floor was lit up with giant glow sticks.

5) And of course, saving the best for last…Jason and Thy are awesome. They also love traveling and badminton!

I’ve realized two new things when I shot this wedding
1) How beautiful downtown Los Angeles lofts are. I would want to live here so bad if the traffic and parking didn’t bother me so much
2) How much Calvin loves kids. During the entire reception I think I saw Calvin either carrying a kid or chasing them around. It was so awesome, because I also love kids and if I weren’t working I’d also be carrying or chasing around a kid.

Two things I already knew but was reminded again
1) How parking and driving around downtown LA still gives me anxiety.
2) How incredibly nice, caring, and sweet Jenny and Calvin are.

I’ve always wanted to shoot a wedding at this venue because I love the all the shapes, architecture, and space around this venue. Ohhh it’s my playground over there and I had a blast!!! Congratulations  you two!!!

I had such a great time hosting, teaching, and running the workshop “Lighting + Direction” with my really good fellow friend Jeremy Chou Photography ! It turned out to be such a great success! We were so lucky to have such wonderful, attentive, and easy going attendees! We’re even luckier to have wonderful sponsors/vendors for our workshop who are listed below. And also thank you so much for the four lovely models who came in and volunteered their time and awesomeness.
