October 8, 2012 Meet Sarah and Joe. They’re married at Boulder Creek Ranch!
Joe is one of my old college friends and former boss at the newspaper that I used to work at. And because he was an old college friend, I got to see even more college friends at the wedding which was a treat. And it’s good to know they’re all the same; eccentric, odd, off-the-wall, and fun. Just like me
It was my first time really getting to know Sarah, but her and her bridesmaids were really easy to get to know. I think I know all of them pretty well now, and I didn’t even really have to talk to them. They’re all have very loud personalities and just sitting there listening to them is by far one of the most entertaining wedding experiences I’ve ever had. They’re all super expressive which made for excellent photos!
A couple of firsts for this wedding. 1) A goat was at this wedding 2) the garter landed in a cup of beer.
Congratulations to the both of you!

Very excited to be posting this. Unfortunately I’m currently in the terminal in Taipei, Taiwan about to board a plane to Tokyo, Japan so I don’t have time to write about this epic shoot. I’ll probably write in more later, but I really wanted to post this before I board my airplane!!!!

September 20, 2012 Meet Kaitlin and Kevin. They’re married at Descanso Gardens!
I must say this is one of the most naturally beautiful ceremonies I’ve ever been to. I love it! The descanso garden ceremony had lots of beautiful natural light that would peek through surrounding the tall gangly (I love the word gangly) trees to create a rich warm light that any photographer would die for. The ceremony was also line up with sunflowers! Tall gangly trees+ sunflowers made me so happy!
Their reception site was littered with scrabble pieces on each table as part of their decoration. I really wondered if they went out to purchase a bunch of scrabble boxes just for the decoration or if they borrowed it from friends. I don’t know why I can’t seem to let go of that mystery, I think I’ll die an unhappy man if I never found out. Another unique item I found at the reception was the signs for the bathroom which were custom little photo frames of them, and you’ll see why I liked them in the photos below.
I love the emotion in this wedding, so much happiness! Makes me happy! Congratulations to Kaitlin and Kevin!
