Tomorrow I get on a plane to Taiwan for two weeks. It’s still unknown to me what I’ll be doing there, because I think I’ll be with family and doing familial things. I’ll let you guys know when I get back. If you’d like to see where else I’ll be going this year, click here.

Anyways, I did another shoot with Clara. This time it’s… THE BEST shoot out of all of them. I had the most time, and we become better and better friends every time we shoot together (which of course helps a lot). This time she has bangs which she said she was self conscious about, but I think they’re awesome. What do you guys think?

Before I start, my travel itinerary for 2011 has been updated! Okay now I will proceed.

So I thought I’ve worked through it all: rain, cold, snow, heat, crowded areas… but this session I got to work with dogs! On the way to the Griffith Observatory I sat in the backseat with the dogs, and to the dogs I only had two purposes: a bed and a stool. The dogs, Toby and Lola, would either sleep on me or stand on me to look outside the car window. But I didn’t mind at all. They were such great company. They’re also the only dogs that I’ve come across to have amazing breath. It actually smelled good and refreshing!

So this is James and Tina (and Toby and Lola). We took these at Griffith Observatory where they had their first date. It’s a nice place in case you’ve never been there. It has a phenomenal view, including a view of the Hollywood sign, if you can see through the notorious LA smog. On the inside of the Observatory there’s an abundance of knowledge of telescopes and our solar system. It’s really a great place for a date.

On the way there, my conversation with Tina and James comprised mainly of food topics. Hmm, it’s my favorite topic to talk about (except when I’m really hungry). And they were telling me about Umami burger, which is an incredibly delicious burger place that I had heard about before but not much in detail. James described the bun as being really soft, and ‘umami’ being the 5th taste. Sounds almost too good to be true? That’s what I thought so I went to go try it a couple days later, and it lived up to the hype!

Stare at the burger above. Salivate yet? If you didn’t something is wrong with you.

After our incredible and fun engagement session we headed over to the Palms Thai Restaurant, a Thai restaurant famous for having an Asian Elvis perform nightly. We chowed down on some pineapple fried rice,  pad see ew, curry, fish patties, and another spicy flat noodle dish. Amazing! Thank you Tina and James!

And check out their awesome images from the session!

This is officially the longest engagement session I’ve ever had in my career, but whew! It was worth it, because check these photos out! This is Ritchie and Oz. My first time meeting them went smoothly and awesomely. They’re a fun couple and easily excited (like myself), and when I found out that their wedding is in New York I went nuts! I love New York, I must’ve said that at least a million times in this blog.

We covered Grand Central Terminal, Central Park, a rooftop, a couple of cab rides, Empire State Building, and an ice cream truck. But it was all worth it, because…we had some bomb ramen on St. Mark’s, and it was de-lish-us. During the day we fueled up with some Starbuck’s danishes and Lehmann’s ice cream. What I really love about my job is meeting cool people, hanging out with them, and eating good food with them. I love it.

What was challenging about this day was having to lug around two bags of clothes all around New York City (well I didn’t, but they did.). And I guess that is one perk about living in Los Angeles; everybody drives and has a car. Also my lips were getting crazy chapped from the cold weather. My lips are still kind of messed up from the trip, but it was all worth it.

Thank you again Ritchie and Oz! I look forward to seeing you guys again in August
