I am so lucky to meet this wonderful New York couple. Not just “I-found-a-dollar-on-the-floor” lucky, and even better than “I-somehow-managed-to-fart-and-cough-at-the-same-time” lucky. The kind of luck that I have with this couple is “I went skydiving without a parachute and survived” kind of lucky.

This is Allison and Hok.

Allison originally found me through my blog back in January when I went to New York City. I photographed their engagement session, and after a long string of events I ended up photographing their wedding in Brooklyn! I was sooooo ecstatic! Allison’s my number one fan, and I call her my “east coast marketing department” because she’s been so kind as to share my work with all of New York City.  Allison always comments/likes the work on my Facebook page, and I’m so so so grateful for that.

Photographing her wedding day was so much fun and very interesting to say the least. After the tea ceremony, Alllison wasn’t allowed to speak according to tradition until she drinks the special/magical sweet water. During that time she couldn’t speak it was very odd, because Allison’s usually quite the talker especially with her gnarly Brooklyn accent, which I find extremely intriguing. I used to have an obsession with accents, and nobody in Los Angeles (that I’ve met) has a Brooklyn accent. Speaking of things I’ve never heard, Hok’s got quite a unique accent, I’m not sure how to describe his accent but I think it’s safe to say it’s a mixture between an Asian accent plus a Bronx accent.

I also had one of the best photo+video crews ever (Michael and Michael), both of whom were so easy to get along with and fun to work with.

So here are half of the photos that I’m putting up, which I’m both very excited and proud of. Thank you Allison and Hok, and congratulations on your wedding!

I’ve been waiting till the very last minute to announce this on my blog: I’m going to Paris starting tomorrow, and I’ll be back on Friday! I will be there to photograph Juanita and Billy for their engagement session!

I’m super excited and very thankful for this opportunity and all my couples who have been awesome enough to fly me out to their weddings; Mylinh and Alfred for Hawaii, Allison and Hok for New York, Chona and Michael for Halfmoon Bay, and Reggie and Cynthia for San Francisco.

I have attached a photo to represent my departure to Paris even though I took this recently on my flight out to New York. I apologize for my shabby appearance, but this photo was taken some time at 7 in the morning at the airport, but I had to wake up hours before that. Don’t judge me by my unbalanced jacket drawstrings.

I will be out of the office, and in Paris!!!

This is a continuation from Part I

Okay so in the first post,  I covered a lot of the girls. So to make it fair I put a few more of Chris and the guys in this part.  I forgot to mention in Part I that this is my first wedding where the couple had to run under sparklers, and I thought that was the coolest thing ever.
