Hello friends. I recently went to another workshop recently, and I got there on time, but by the time I got there it was already full, so I sat in the back next to a guy Lawrence Atienza ( http://www.lawrenceatienza.com) , we chatted a little bit and it turns out he’s a cool dude.  We talked about photography, advertising, among other things.  As I see it there are two kinds of people in the world people who know how to market themselves, and people who don’t. He’s one of those people who not only know how to market themselves, but know how to do it well.  But I guess that’s a given if he’s working in the advertising industry. Anyway, contacted each other after the workshop and then he asked me if he could interview me for website photographysilo.com . Of course I said yes, who wouldn’t? There were more questions than I had anticipated, but I finished it!

Check out Photographysilo.com to see the interview among many other great resourceful things. There’s many other interviews of other photographers, question and answer type deals, workshop information etc etc.! It’s quite impressive.

I am proud to say that I have almost dominated the ‘new arrivals’ section of papayaclothing.com with my work. Total and complete domination are at my fingertips! muahaha! (evil laughter)

New arrivals Page Bottom half.  There’s still two photos of mannequins that haven’t been replaced yet. boo.

Okay so if I was girl, I would dig this. It’s chic, semi-form fitting, sexy and it has cool textured designs (you have to look closely.)  Good for a night out on the town.

And this. I call it the ‘jellyfish brain sac beanie’ or if someone has long hair ‘the octopus’. I think it’s just because I’m lazy with my hair, if I was girl I’d probably lazy with my hair too so I’d just wear this all the time and it would hide everything. Plus it looks really cool and comfortable.

This also. Anything backless, or close to backless is uber sexy. I don’t care what anybody says.  Plus this seems like i would be comfortable on a hot summer night, I’m not sure this would best worn during the day, I’d hate to have a shirt tan that looked like shark gills running from top to bottom on my back.

This is the front of the shirt. See how it’s kinda cool artsy, urban look to it? I can also see people wearing it at hip hop dance competitions, where I see a lot of loosely fitted, airy, and slightly provocative clothing. I love hip hop dance competitions.

Ever since I’ve watched the recently debuted movie “I love you man” with Paul Rudd and Jason Segel I started to like cardigans. It’s a button up sweater, man that’s kind of cool. What I like about it is it has two kinds of cool to it, an urban casual look and also “I go to any ivy league school” smart look.

This scarf is gnarly. I like it because it’s down to earth. It doesn’t shout ‘look at me!” it says “this is comfortable, and looks good.” Plus it’s got three segments, the middle is ribbed and folded for extra comfort (maybe?) and the adjacent ends are wide and simple, and the endings are feathered with little string things. I dig it.

Bulaclac is pronounced ‘boo-lock-lock’ in case you’re wondering. Denton is pronounced ‘den-ton.’ Yup.

So far, my ‘shoot a friend a week’ project is going smoothly. This Denton, one of my closest friends my second year of college.  We were both RA’s and our halls were right next to each other so needless to say we hung out a lot.  After that year unfortunately we parted ways, but I told him upon seeing him after all these years that I don’t remember why we didn’t keep in touch.  He admitted that he was a ‘mooch’, that kept freeloading homework and food off of me.  So what probably happened was I couldn’t stand it anymore, and just didn’t bother to keep in touch.  I also told him I can’t see myself getting annoyed if he’s getting homework for me, but the food, yeah the food might bother me a little bit. When I’m hungry, I become Gollum from Lord of the Rings and the food becomes ‘my precious’ ring. I can’t help it.

Are you interested in becoming part of my shoot a friend a week project?
